Description

NAD+ does two jobs. As an electron carrier it's recycled, shuttling between NAD+ and NADH through glycolysis, fatty acid oxidation and the citric acid cycle. But it's also cleaved and consumed by sirtuins, PARPs and CD38 — enzymes that destroy it rather than recycle it. That second role is why cellular NAD+ has to be continuously resynthesised, and why its availability is a real variable rather than a constant.

NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme widely studied in cellular-energy and metabolic-pathway research. It is used in controlled laboratory models examining mitochondrial function, redox balance, and DNA-repair signaling. Within preclinical frameworks, NAD+ is investigated as a substrate for sirtuin- and PARP-associated pathways and as a foundational molecule in studies of cellular metabolism and aging-biology signaling within controlled laboratory environments.

FAQ

What is NAD+ used for?
NAD+ is supplied for laboratory and preclinical research involving cellular-energy metabolism, mitochondrial-function signaling, DNA-repair pathways, and aging-biology studies. It is not intended for human or veterinary use, therapeutic application, or diagnostic purposes.

Who is eligible to purchase NAD+?
NAD+ is sold exclusively to qualified researchers and licensed laboratories. By purchasing, buyers confirm they are knowledgeable in handling research-use-only (RUO) materials and will use the product in compliance with applicable regulations.

Is NAD+ approved for human or veterinary use?
No. This product is supplied strictly as a research material and is not approved for human or veterinary use, ingestion, diagnosis, or treatment of any condition.

What purity and quality standards are used?
Each batch is manufactured to high-purity standards and undergoes analytical verification and quality-control review. A batch-specific Certificate of Analysis (COA) is provided to document identity, purity, and applicable testing.

How should NAD+ be stored and handled?
It should be stored under controlled laboratory conditions, protected from heat, moisture, and direct light, and handled following standard laboratory protocols for research materials. Where applicable, avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Why does the vial appear nearly empty?
Research materials are supplied by analytical mass rather than visible volume. Contents may appear minimal within the container while still meeting the labeled specifications. This is normal for high-purity research materials.

Is documentation provided with each order?
Yes. Each batch is accompanied by a batch-specific Certificate of Analysis (COA) and supporting documentation to support quality assurance, batch traceability, and recordkeeping.

Can NAD+ be used in combination studies?
In laboratory settings, NAD+ may be evaluated alongside other research materials as part of structured experimental study designs. Any combination research should be conducted under controlled laboratory conditions and established analytical research protocols.

For laboratory and research use only. Not for human or veterinary use or consumption. Sold only to qualified researchers.

Documentation

A Certificate of Analysis is issued for every lot and matched to the lot number printed on your vial. Identity is confirmed by mass spectrometry and purity by HPLC, with third-party ISO-accredited verification available on request. A Safety Data Sheet (SDS) is available for every product.

Shipping & storage

Orders are processed and shipped promptly via tracked courier. Materials ship lyophilized and remain stable in transit; on arrival, store as indicated on the vial — typically refrigerated or frozen and protected from light — for maximum stability.
